Meet the Teacher

Kathleen Brooks is one of the owners and head teachers at Spectra. She is the 5th-12th grade math and science teacher. It is important to her that differentiated instruction is offered to each student to make sure that child is learning in the way that is best for them. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and many farm animals at home.

 Casey Pevey is one of the owners and head teachers at Spectra. She is the 5th-12th grade language arts and history teacher. She believes in a multi-faceted, holistic approach to instruction. In her downtime, she enjoys reading, learning, and spending time with her family. 

 Lauren Alexander is the elementary teacher at Spectra. She teaches all subjects to the 1st-4th graders and believes that all children deserve a safe and comfortable learning environment in order to be their best selves. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and baking.
