About Us

 Spectra Learning was created and founded by Casey Pevey-Hardison and Kathleen Brooks in 2021 to fill a need for educational services that were missing in our area in the form of a microschool. We desire to help students succeed and develop a positive attitude towards learning. All students at Spectra have individualized learning plans, and no two plans are alike. In a typical classroom setting, students receive generalized instruction that may or may not be effective for them. However, as teachers, we understand that there are only so many hours in a school day, and larger class sizes leave less time for individualized assistance. At Spectra, we teach and enrich your child in the way that is best for him or her. We want all students who visit our center and school to feel accepted when they enter and confident when they leave. We are honored to be able to serve the people of Lawrence County and surrounding areas.
